About AADAO

Atom Accelerator DAO (AADAO) is a community-owned organization with a mandate to support open source projects that drive value for ATOM token holders, through the administration of grants, and venture investments.

Position Overview

Fully remote; no location restriction.

We seek a temporary Oversight Committee Member to join the AADAO Oversight Committee.

This position requires professional objectivity and impartiality while assessing the DAO's adherence to its community approved mandate, particularly in areas of material importance to Cosmos Hub stakeholders. The role encompasses oversight of DAO members, grant administration, venture investments, and DAO treasury management – ensuring all activities align with established protocols and governance frameworks.

Success in this role requires demonstrated capability in both independent assessment and cross-functional collaboration. The oversight member must apply ethical and logical rigor in evaluating internal control effectiveness, assessing operational risks, and objectively interpreting the DAO’s compliance with governance proposals ratified by the Cosmos Hub community (Proposal 95, Proposal 865).

Time Commitment

This is a 20-35% FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) role requiring attendance at the following regular meetings:

- Weekly Oversight Committee meetings (as needed)

- Biweekly full team meetings, Thursdays at 1pm EST

- Weekly Strategy Committee meetings (observer status), Fridays at 10am EST

Tenure: December 15, 2024 - February 28, 2025 (possibly longer)

Note: AADAO operates under a community-approved mandate that expires in February 2025. Should the mandate not be renewed by the Cosmos Hub community, the DAO will transition into a maintenance phase where oversight responsibilities may be reduced in scope. Given this timeline, candidates should understand that the role's duties and time commitment could evolve based on the DAO's future operational status. The minimum FTE requirement from December 15, 2024 - February 28, 2025 will be 20-35% FTE.
