Chief of Staff
Full-time - New York
About the role
As Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the CEO and executive team as a strategic partner and execution leader. Your mandate is to turn vision into action by prioritizing the company’s most important initiatives, aligning resources, and ensuring cross-functional teams deliver against Injective’s strategic goals.
You will operate as an extension of the CEO across strategy, operations, and communications to drive clarity, accountability, and speed in a rapidly scaling environment. The role requires a blend of strategic judgment and hands-on execution: from structuring board materials and KPIs to streamlining workflows in HR, finance, and operations.
The ideal candidate brings consulting-grade problem solving, startup-tested execution, and the adaptability to move seamlessly between high-level strategy and ground-level detail.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, helping to define, prioritize, and drive execution of company-wide initiatives.
- Ensure alignment across departments by coordinating projects, resolving dependencies, and tracking progress against goals.
- Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting processes that support board updates, investor communications, and internal decision-making.
- Lead high-impact special projects that cut across functions, from scaling operations to launching new initiatives.
- Oversee and improve select operational workflows (HR, finance, vendor management) to increase efficiency and free leadership capacity.
- Draft and prepare executive briefings, board materials, and key communications on behalf of the CEO.
- Anticipate risks and roadblocks, develop mitigation strategies, and step in as needed to ensure momentum and continuity.
Who you are:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or strategy/ops at a high-growth startup.
- At least 1 year of Chief of Staff (or directly comparable) experience supporting a CEO or executive team, ideally at a Series B–C+ company.
- Degree educated with a strong academic track record.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and resourceful; thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and willing to roll up your sleeves.
- Exceptional organizational discipline, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver at speed.
- Strong communicator who can build trust quickly across levels, influence without authority, and represent leadership externally.
- Analytical and data-driven, able to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable insights.
- Resilient under pressure and proactive in surfacing challenges before they become problems.
