We are looking for an experienced Protocol-Level Blockchain Architect to conceptualize, design, and oversee the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Mantra’s CosmosSDK blockchain.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Cosmos SDK, Tendermint consensus, and the broader Cosmos ecosystem as well as distributed systems, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and network architecture, coupled with the ability to innovate at the protocol level.

Responsibilities:
• Design and architect novel protocol features and improvements for Cosmos SDK-based blockchains
• Develop comprehensive technical specifications for new modules and core protocol enhancements
• Lead the implementation of core protocol features, focusing on scalability, security, and interoperability
• Optimize network performance, throughput, and latency within the Cosmos IBC ecosystem
• Design and implement improvements to the existing consensus mechanism (Tendermint) or propose alternatives
• Architect solutions for cross-chain communication, with a focus on IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) protocol
• Collaborate with research teams to incorporate cutting-edge academic findings into the Cosmos SDK
• Mentor and guide development teams in implementing protocol-level features
• Conduct thorough security audits and risk assessments of protocol designs
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the Cosmos ecosystem and contribute to the broader Cosmos community
• Participate in writing technical specifications, ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), and documentation
