Your main responsibilities: • Own and shape security strategy and standards for digital asset banking platform and cloud infrastructure. • Be the technical security authority who drives change across the entire organization • Leadership in defining, implementing, and monitoring security governance frameworks for digital asset custody, trading, and banking • Strategic input into our multi-custody and key management architecture • Build and lead a small but elite security team while remaining deeply technical in a small agile team where your expertise directly shapes outcomes • Assess risks, vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors of solution designs, third-party solutions or engineering processes. • Main stakeholder and coordinator for security related topics for our cross-functional teams, including engineering, SRE, IT operations, and security operations
You are a hands-on security expert with deep technical skills who can influence and lead our cross-functional teams. You excel at personally solving complex security challenges in regulated environments while building the credibility needed to drive organizational change. You're comfortable switching between writing cloud security policies in the morning and conducting architecture reviews in the afternoon - eager to join an innovative organisation where you'll be doing the work, not just directing it. In a small team environment, you understand that technical excellence is your primary leadership tool.
You can demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Masters degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in security architecture roles or equivalent.
Proven ability to lead through influence and technical credibility.
Track record of driving organizational change through technical excellence,stakeholder influence and strong leadership skills.
Financial regulations (e.g. FINMA) and banking security requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English.
A deep technical understanding with hands on experience across multiple security domains:
Cloud security architecture and controls (Azure, AWS) including Kubernetes and microservices security patterns.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and Zero Trust.
Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) frameworks.
Developing security standards in regulated environments.
Encryption architecture and key management systems.
Nice to Have:
Hardware Security Module (HSM) architecture.
Digital asset custody.
Blockchain security patterns and smart contract security.
