As a Tech Lead on our Platform team, you combine technical leadership with people enablement to make engineering faster, safer, and more joyful. You lead a small team of SRE and Backend engineers and treat the platform as a product—balancing roadmap execution, developer experience, and operational resilience.
With the technical hat, you will: • Own the internal platform roadmap and backlog—aligning priorities with strategic goals, developer feedback, and long-term sustainability. • Drive the design and delivery of internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling. • Build and maintain shared libraries and frameworks that standardize development and deployment. • Embed secure-by-default, observable, and compliant practices into platform design. • Leverage AI and automation to reduce cognitive load, improve quality, and scale developer productivity. • Communicate changes clearly via changelogs, documentation, and internal demos. • Act as the technical decision-maker for platform architecture, tooling standards, and lifecycle policies.
With the leadership hat, you will: • Lead and grow a small team of SRE and Backend engineers—running 1:1s, supporting onboarding, goal setting, and performance feedback. • Foster platform adoption across engineering teams through training, documentation, and developer engagement. • Lead the backend guild and promote consistent standards across teams. • Partner with Tech Leads, Engineering Managers, and architects to align platform direction with organizational needs. • Champion a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement. • Track and report on platform impact metrics such as adoption rates, developer satisfaction (NPS), and operational stability.
Experience leading platform or developer productivity initiatives across teams.
Strong background in Java (Quarkus) or NodeJS (NestJS), with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS), microservices, and developer tooling.
Proven ability to document, communicate, and drive adoption of platform tools and standards.
