We are seeking a motivated Compliance Manager to join our Legal & Compliance team in Liechtenstein. This role will play a critical part in building a high-performing compliance team and ensuring our operations remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations and relevant FMA guidelines.

Your main responsibilities:
• Support the development and execution of Sygnum’s compliance strategy in Liechtenstein, providing strategic leadership to the compliance function and delivering high-level regulatory and advisory guidance to internal stakeholders across the business.
• Establish, update, monitor, and implement AML-CTF frameworks, policies, and procedures including KYC/KYT processes, transaction monitoring, sanctions/PEP screening, suspicious transactions reporting, and ongoing customer due diligence.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance across the organisation by balancing regulatory rigor with practical solutions.
• Oversee adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, ensuring the effective implementation of compliance frameworks and ensure corresponding controls are in place.
• Track and analyse regulatory developments, evaluating their implications for business operations and advising relevant stakeholders accordingly.
• Conduct regular training sessions to ensure Sygnumers remain informed and compliant with the latest regulatory developments and industry standards.
• Manage regulatory reporting and maintain regular communication with FMA and other relevant authorities.
• Conduct internal compliance assessments and risk reviews to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Provide compliance advisory on new products, services, and business initiatives to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.
• Support audit readiness and regulatory audits, including preparation of documentation and coordination with internal teams and address auditor’s and/or regulator’s request for information or inspection.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Good knowledge of AML/KYC/CTF regulations and best practices in Liechtenstein, with a strong grasp of Switzerland and European Union regulations as a significant advantage
  • Good knowledge of regulatory landscape in Liechtenstein and the EU (MiCAR, DORA, etc.) and the latest trends in compliance, the FinTech and RegTech industry as well as digital assets and blockchain
  • Understanding of crypto compliance standards and best practices, regulatory guidance and FATF recommendations relevant for digital assets.
  • Goal- and result-oriented, able to work with minimal direction and providing hands-on and practicable solutions (with a good commercial business sense)
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Valid Liechtenstein work permit and availability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
